Research Interests
I am motivated by the conviction that natural biological entities are governed by fundamental principles and properties, which can be understood, harnessed, and extended by engineering synthetic systems using complementary computational and empirical approaches.
Outside Interests
I enjoy simple pleasures, such as reading, pondering, traveling off the beaten path, tinkering with (and dissembling) anything within reach, design and visual arts, food and tea tasting, and sharing good anecdotes.
