Research Interests
My research focuses on drug delivery in solid tumors. While many drug delivery strategies have been examined, even the most promising approaches leave much room for improvement. The primary objective of drug delivery strategies has traditionally been to decrease systemic toxicity while increasing drug delivery to the site of interest. However, the method of delivery must be adjusted to best suit the mechanism of action of the delivered drug, and additionally, the treatment must be planned in a way that would permit verifiable control of dosing. Such improvements are now possible, and I am very excited to work towards their implementation.
Outside Interests
I enjoy spending time with my family, learning new things, playing music, reading, mountain biking, working out and discussing nature, science and politics.
Quote of Interest
“I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding of a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.” -Isaac Newton
